Our story
Vanderfield is one of Australia’s leading agricultural machinery dealerships, having served businesses across Queensland, New South Wales, the Northern Territory, and into Kununurra, Western Australia for over 50 years.
Established in 1963 as Farm Equipment Pty Ltd by Gordon Vandersee, we became Vanderfield in 1970 and have now grown to 22 branches in key agricultural regions. We have machinery partnerships with leading brands, such as our longstanding partnership with John Deere, as well as others including Muddy River, Kuhn, Monosem and Manitou.
We pride ourselves on the way we support our customers near and far and the communities we all live and work in. We are focused on being there to meet their needs through our team of experts across sales, service and parts.
In 2012, we partnered with one of the largest John Deere groups globally, RDO Equipment Co., a business built on similar values, and one that shares the same focus of commitment and partnership with customers, employees, manufacturers and communities.
In 2019, RDO Equipment Co. acquired the remaining interest in Vanderfield, and we joined them along with Vermeer Australia under the newly formed RDO Australia Group.
Today the RDO Australia Group is one of the world’s largest John Deere and Vermeer equipment dealers. The Group proudly employs more than 700 staff and operates out of 29 dealership locations providing parts and service support for the agricultural, roads, civil construction, landscaping, mining and forestry sectors.
